Location: This position is a Work@Home position and can be anywhere in the United States, but you must be available to work regular East Coast business hours.
The Business Information Analyst Sr. is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data related to multiple operations within the Kentucky Medicaid Plan. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
+ Creates and maintains databases to track business performance
+ Conducts proactive auditing and analysis of pricing and benefit configuration using summary statistical procedures, prioritizing based on impact
+ Supports encounter management processes with data-driven research
+ Creates and publishes periodic reports as well as any necessary ad hoc reports and makes recommendations as needed
+ Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data)
+ May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
Requires:
+ BS/BA degree in related field, 2-4 years related operational and/or data analysis experience; experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools; or any combination of education and experience, which provides an equivalent background
+ Analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Proficient in statistical use of Microsoft Excel and Access or other general reporting tools, including SQL-based queries.
Preferred:
+ Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software.
+ Core FACETS Configuration methodologies, including claim, provider, pricing and benefit
+ Ability to manipulate large sets of data.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
